DONOR ELIGIBILITY
Whole blood donation
• As a rule, only a people who are above 18 years of age are allowed to donate blood in India.
• Body weight should be above 45 kg
• A person shouldn’t be sick with any kind of bacterial, fungal or viral infections.
• A person is allowed donate a whole blood when they are completed 112 days of past whole blood donation, completed 28 days of past plasma donation, completed 7 days of past platelet donation.
Platelet donation
• Peoples can donate platelets with age limit of 18 to 60 years.
• Body weight should be 60-65 kg
• A person shouldn’t be sick with any kind of bacterial, fungal or viral infections.
• A person is allowed donate a platelets when they are completed 7 days of past platelet donation.
Plasma donation
• Peoples can donate platelets with age limit of 18 to 60 years.
• Body weight should be above 50 kg
• A person shouldn’t be sick with any kind of bacterial, fungal or viral infections.
• A person is allowed donate a platelets when they are completed 28 days of past plasma donation.
